Root Canal Therapy 根管治療/杜牙根

根管治療（杜牙根/牙髓治療）是一種保留牙齒的牙科療程，當蛀牙或創傷導致牙髓（牙神經與血管）受感染、發炎或壞死時進行，牙醫會清除受損組織，清潔消毒根管，再用特殊材料填封，防止感染擴散，以拯救牙齒，避免拔除，通常最後會加上牙冠保護，恢復咀嚼功能。

A root canal treatment (or endodontic therapy) saves a badly damaged or infected tooth by removing the inflamed/infected pulp (nerves, tissue, blood vessels), cleaning and disinfecting the inside, and then filling and sealing it to prevent reinfection, often preventing extraction and relieving pain from deep decay, cracks, or trauma. While it sounds scary, it's a common, effective procedure, with modern techniques often making it comfortable, and the treated tooth can last a lifetime with proper care.
